Sitting down to actually write this was initially challenging and required a lot of depth to clarify the reader. However, it's essential to understand the points covered in the following passages.

Understandings about spirituality have gone mainstream. The information out there isn’t necessarily false; however, much like biblical texts, the information can be easily misinterpreted.

What needs clarification is the specific roadmap to get better results when doing healing work.

The Great Shift

“The message in the Piscean Age was ‘help me, I want to know.’ In the Age of Aquarius the message is, ‘I know, I can help you to be.’ The psyche has reversed, and life has to be changed accordingly.”
— Yogi Bhajan

Many of us are beginning to understand that we have chakras. These seven chakras move from the base of your spine all the way to the top of your head. As a refresher, I’ll go ahead and share one of our diagrams below.

What we’re learning now is that these chakra systems exist in all living things, including all animals, insects, and even mother earth.

In the transcribed text, Law Of One, these are referred to as densities. What’s described in the text is that collectively as a planet, we’ve officially moved into fourth density as of 2012. These have completely new implications.

At the time of this writing, as a planet, we’re moving into fourth density. In the grand scheme of things, we just went through an intense and short third-density period. Compared to the other densities, this is a short period of time and very much determined the planet’s destiny.

The fourth-density is also known as Christ Consciousness. Jesus’s golden rule had always been to love and treat others the way you would treat yourself. This is the foundation of oneness, which begins with realizing that we are not separate from others.

Our ability as humans to adapt to the new ways of the fourth destiny determines our soul’s evolution. Graduating from self-awareness to fully embracing love.

Love is pure and energetic. Anything less of it is a lack of love. In the fourth dimension, love is the only way to be. Love is the source of intelligence we all seek, and therefore love holds no boundaries.

Love also includes free will. Respecting free will for yourself and others. Rebalancing into the fourth dimension means that free will is a choice for all. This is the essence of freedom itself—the freedom to choose.

Here And Now

“The past has no power over the present moment.”
— Eckhart Tolle

The previous passage was there to help gain a better understanding of the big picture. However, it's also ideal to not get caught up in future-based thinking. At the end of the day, we’re here to enjoy the human experience on planet earth.

So getting caught in what happens thousands or millions of years from now isn’t going to help you stay present. Although, understanding this from a grand and universal perspective can give you a clear understanding of your soul’s process of evolution.

It isn’t breaking news that your soul reincarnates one way or another. Karma isn’t a big mystery either; most of us casually include it in our language. Although deepening the understanding can get a bit esoteric, there is more motivation to follow universal laws and principles.

Simply, your decisions and actions here and now will impact your soul’s evolution. This is the key takeaway.

Heart Awakening

“I open my heart and sing the joys of love.”
— Louise Hay

Many times your heart is overlooked as just one of your body’s seven chakras. In your meditations, it might feel sexier to go straight for your brow or crown chakra (guilty as charged).

I get it; we all want lucid dreams and mystical experiences. We want aliens to show us and start providing us with the universe’s greatest secrets and mysteries.

Without the opening of your heart, your upper three chakras aren’t accessible. The throat (blue), brow (indigo), and crown (violet) chakras become available when the heart chakra is open. This green heart chakra is a gateway to the upper three chakras.

Many references in ancient theology speak about accessing the heart in riddles, including biblical and fables. Many of these references include both a courtyard and an inner sanctum. These two definitions are also consistent with the information provided in The Law Of One.

“We begin opening the heart chakra by doing shadow work, cleaning out the unhealed wounds of our past, and bringing our pain into the light. A quote from the Quo group, channeled in January of 2006, says the heart chakra has two distinct levels we would call them the outer courtyard of the heart and the inner sanctum of the heart. You come into the outer courtyard of your own heart when you are ready at last to face your shadow self. Whatever you have not yet recognized or developed within your personality meets you in the courtyard of the open heart. It is here that you will find your shadow self. In order to enter the inner sanctum of your own heart. You must do the work of greeting, understanding, accepting, feeling compassion for, and eventually redeeming every bit of undeveloped light that is a part of yourself.”
Excerpt From The Law Of One (The Ra Material)

Opening your heart requires work, but it's totally worth it. You’ll make huge leaps in your relationships, have greater creativity, better maturity, and the list goes on. Overall you’ll enjoy the process of living life.

Shadow Work

We’ve already discussed that shadow work is one of the best ways to constantly rediscover what your heart has been hiding all these years.

Confronting the darkness of your past is never easy. For some of us, it will be easier, and for others, it will be more difficult. Everyone is different.

But if you don’t start now, then when? By healing yourself, you’re also healing others around you—the whole world shifts.

1. Observe

Ironically, the place where you can best meet your shadows is the environment around you. My kids have brought out many of them, and I’m forever thankful. Take an interest in your reactions to friends and family around you. Here are five questions to get the process started:

Do you sometimes get nervous around people?
Are you feeling the opposite of what you want?
Do you imagine the worst-case scenario?
Do you feel the need to self-sabotage?
Are you reliving an event?

As hard as these questions might be, they help you bring observation to your subconscious responses without any label or judgement.

2. Feel

Any trapped emotion is an emotion that requires opening up. Feeling and allowing the emotion will help you come to terms with whatever is surfacing.

You’ve built up walls to prevent yourself from feeling it. When you have been successful in observing it, go ahead and feel it. Slip away into a room or close your eyes. Feel the physical sensations of what you’re feeling. You might feel a burning chest or a queazy gut; whatever comes up, let it.

Be totally honest with yourself in what you’re feeling. The truth sets you free. Being very upfront with your inner dialogue allows for more clarity and meaning in what you’re feeling.

Here are examples of how you could phrase your inner dialogue:
This person makes me feel…
When I feel nervous or anxious, I imagine…
I have thoughts about…

As you work through what comes up, bring awareness to your heart. Be prepared to feel anything and everything. You’ll feel sensations in different areas of your body, along with the heart. These areas are an indication of where there’s stored stuck energy.

As you gain more truth, you’ll become more comfortable, and the process will be less difficult. Imagine breathing into your heart as you work through this process. Setting a clear intention of opening your heart every time the opportunity arises.

3. Release

All the physical sensations are a part of the release of the emotion. I can’t tell you how many times I have yawned, burped, and even sneezed when doing shadow work.

Our bodies are intelligently designed by nature, and it too has mechanisms for releasing unwanted energy.

4. Thanks

Whatever gets released, celebrate it. Give thanks for the newfound wisdom. You don’t need to overanalyze it. Some aspects of this work will be vague, and it may have to revisit some things.

I’ve had things come up on multiple occasions, but every time the severity of what I was feeling went down.

5. Integrate

The next day (or days), you may feel different. Emotions will probably come up, and life circumstances will also adjust accordingly. People may appear (or disappear) from your life, or you may end up in new dynamics. This is totally normal and a part of the process. You are releasing energy in all forms.

Recognizing the integration process is key so that you don’t feel trapped. Continue to allow yourself to feel. You are going through a cellular upgrade, and eventually, your new form will settle.

Practice

As you continue to do the inner work, you’ll be able to incorporate it into your daily practice.

Meditations are a powerful force in all of this, as they help level out your day-to-day emotions. Our meditation app, Retreat Sounds, has powerful heart-opening meditations that will assist you in your daily practice. Check out the library on a one-month free trial here.

Eventually, your body develops a habit to take care of itself. Your body knows when it's time for healing.

When I first started, I was a bit obsessive about finding everything I could. I became overly imaginative. When things come up, you’ll know. Pay close attention to how you feel, what your responses are, and whenever you’re feeling anxious. Those are the clues.
